Terms and Conditions for Retailers Using handover’s Pick and Drop Services
Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using handover’s supply chain technology platform and engaging in our pick-and-drop services. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
1. Company Information:
handover is a brand name owned and operated by HANDOVER MOBILITY PRIVATE LIMITED, a registered company under the companies act 2013. Our registered office address is 216-A, IV/F, L/S GAUTAM NAGAR New Delhi ,Delhi 110049 IN . References to “handover,” “we,” “us,” and “our” throughout these terms and conditions refer to HANDOVER MOBILITY PRIVATE LIMITED, trading as handover.
2. handover as a Supply Chain Technology Platform:
handover’s tech-enabled supply chain platform offers a comprehensive solution for businesses to optimize their delivery processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall customer experience. With advanced technology and logistics solutions, Handover streamlines operations, increases efficiency, and provides real-time tracking and visibility. The platform’s nationwide presence ensures a wide coverage area for deliveries, and reliable rider availability further enhances the reliability of the service. By leveraging handover’s platform, businesses can streamline their operations, reduce manual errors, and provide a seamless and efficient delivery experience to their customers.
3. Legal Relationship:
By using handover’s supply chain technology platform and services, you acknowledge that you are entering into a legal agreement with HANDOVER MOBILITY PRIVATE LIMITED. The usage of our platform and services does not establish any legal relationship, partnership, agency, or employment between you and HANDOVER MOBILITY PRIVATE LIMITED. You agree to use our services solely as an independent retailer.
4. Services – Pick and Drop:
handover’s pick and drop services specifically cater to the needs of retailers, providing them with a convenient and efficient solution for managing their product deliveries.
For retailers, handover’s pick and drop services offer a range of benefits. Firstly, it enables them to outsource their delivery operations, allowing them to focus on their core business activities. By relying on handover’s expertise in logistics and transportation, retailers can save time and resources that would otherwise be spent on managing deliveries in-house.
The platform’s network of experienced and reliable riders ensures that retailers’ products are safely picked up and delivered on time. handover’s advanced technology optimizes the delivery routes, allowing for efficient and timely transportation of the products. Retailers can track the progress of their deliveries in real-time, providing them with visibility and control over the process.
5. Services Terms
A. Delivery booking once accepted by handover shall not be cancelled by the client. In case of cancellation regressions charge as per company policy shall be levied on the client account.
B. All the orders will be packed by the client only and it is the responsibility of the client staff to make sure that all the items are packed properly and safely especially fragile items and temperature sensitive items. The orders should be packed such that it is easy to carry by Delivery Personnel.
C. The client will not engage in hiring or poaching any handover employees unless the employee has left the company (handover) for minimum of 6 months. If the client is found to be engaged in such activities the client will pay handover 2 times the monthly salary (maximum possible) of that particular person and handover still has the right to take legal action against the client for breach of contract.
D. handover shall make sure to deliver the cargo consignments once loaded in its vehicle to the destination. Exceptions shall be considered in case of any unplanned/undeclared shutdown/lockdown of route, place of origin and/or destination locations by any of the law enforcement agencies.
E. Waiting charges during pick up and drop of cargo shall be levied in case of vehicle being parked after arrival at location of pick up and/or drop for more than prescribed time without loading and/or unloading activity being conducted.

Rider Availability:
At handover, we strive to provide the best possible pick and drop services for retailers. However, it’s important to note that the availability of riders for these services is subject to the availability of riders in your specific location or city. While we make every effort to ensure a sufficient number of riders are available to fulfill delivery requests, we cannot guarantee their availability at all times.
We understand that timely and reliable deliveries are crucial for retailers, and we continuously work to expand our network of riders to meet the increasing demand. Our aim is to ensure that retailers can benefit from our pick and drop services whenever possible. However, factors such as rider availability, peak hours, and location constraints may occasionally affect the availability of riders for certain delivery requests.
Service Availability:
By leveraging our advanced technology and logistics expertise, we aim to ensure that our pick and drop services are accessible to retailers in multiple areas. Our priority is to provide a smooth and efficient experience, enabling you to focus on your core business operations while we take care of the logistics.
While we cannot guarantee the availability of our services in all locations, we are constantly working to expand our reach and bring the convenience of our pick and drop services to more retailers like you. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to grow and improve our service coverage.
6. Prohibited and Illegal Items:
You agree not to send or request the delivery of any prohibited or illegal items using handover’s services. Prohibited and illegal items include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Drugs and Non-Prescribed Medicines: The transportation of illegal drugs, narcotics, or any non-prescribed medicines is strictly prohibited.
- Tobacco and Tobacco Products: It is strictly prohibited to send tobacco products or any related items.
- Adult Goods: Sending adult goods, including adult toys or explicit materials, is strictly prohibited.
- Alcohol: The delivery of alcoholic beverages is not permitted through handover’s services.
- Jewelry: Valuable jewelry items, including precious stones, diamonds, or other high-value accessories, cannot be sent using our services.
- Guns and Firearms: The transportation of firearms, ammunition, or any other weapons is strictly prohibited.
- Other Prohibited Items: There may be additional items that are prohibited or restricted by law, and you are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the items you send or request to be delivered
- Privacy: We value your privacy and handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using handover’s supply chain technology platform and services, you agree to the terms outlined in our Privacy Policy.
- Payments:
The payment for delivery charges will be deducted from the prepaid closed group wallet associated with your handover account.
- Item Safety:
While we make every effort to ensure the safe delivery of your products, we cannot guarantee the safety of items with improper or inadequate packaging. We advise you to package your products securely to minimize any
- Missing Items:
If a rider working with handover misplaces any items during the delivery process, we will take responsibility for the loss. However, we will conduct a thorough investigation to ascertain the facts before accepting liability.
- Refunds and Cancellation:
Rider Cancellation:
- If a rider cancels an order, handover will not charge any fees to the retailer. We act as a platform to facilitate booking riders and do not have complete control over their actions.
Retailer’s Cancellation:
- If a retailer cancels the order in our app, a cancellation fee will be charged. If the rider has already started the delivery, return charges may also apply.
- If a retailer cancels an order before the rider reaches the retailer’s location to pick up the item, only a cancellation fee will be charged, considering the rider’s invested time
- Delivery Vehicles:
We provide delivery services using two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers, depending on the availability and suitability of vehicles in your location.
- Indemnification and Limitation of Liability:
- Users agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless handover and its affiliates, including its officers, directors, consultants, agents, and employees (collectively referred to as “Indemnitees”), from and against any and all losses, liabilities, claims, damages, demands, costs, and expenses (including legal fees and disbursements) arising from any breach or non-performance of obligations, covenants, representations, or warranties by Users pursuant to these Terms of Use. Users further agree to hold the Indemnitees harmless against any claims made by any third party due to, arising out of, or in connection with their use of the Platform, handover Services, any misrepresentation of data or information provided by Users, violation of the Terms of Use, or violation of any rights of another party, including intellectual property rights.
- In no event shall the Indemnitees be liable to Users or any third party for any special, incidental, indirect, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with their use of or access to the Platform or handover Services on the Platform.
- Users’ indemnification obligations under the Terms of Use will survive the termination of their Account or use of the Platform or handover Services.
- The Platform and the handover Services are available only to Users located in India. Users shall not access or use the Platform from any other jurisdiction except India. If a User accesses or uses the Platform from any jurisdiction other than India, the User shall be liable to comply with all applicable laws, and handover shall not be liable for any such non-compliance.

- Violation of the Terms of Use:
Users acknowledge that any violation of these Terms of Use by Users will constitute an unlawful and unfair business practice, causing irreparable harm to handover. In such cases, handover may seek injunctive or equitable relief deemed necessary or appropriate. These remedies are in addition to any other remedies that handover may have at law or in equity. If handover takes legal action against Users due to their violation of these Terms of Use, Users agree to pay all reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs of such action, in addition to any other granted relief.
- Additional Terms:
handover may require Users to follow additional rules, guidelines, policies, or conditions to participate in certain promotions or activities available through the Platform. These additional terms, referred to as “Policies,” are deemed part of these Terms of Use, and Users agree to comply with them when participating in promotions or activities governed by such additional terms.
- Link to Third Parties:
The Platform may contain links to third-party sites owned by advertisers, affiliate partners, strategic partners, or others. handover is not responsible for examining or evaluating such third-party websites and does not warrant the products or offerings of any third-party businesses or individuals, nor the accuracy of the content on such websites. handover assumes no responsibility or liability for the actions, products, and content of any third-party websites. Users should review the applicable terms of use and policies for such third-party websites before accessing or using them.
- Term and Termination:
- These Terms of Use will continue to apply until terminated by either the User or handover.
- Users can close their Account through the Platform or by writing to support@handover.in and stop accessing the Platform if they object to the Terms of Use or are dissatisfied with the Platform or handover Services.
- handover may, in its sole discretion, bar any User’s use of the Platform or handover Services at any time, for any reason. Even after an Account is disabled or made inactive, Users remain liable for all outstanding dues with respect to the Merchant Services.
- handover may delist or block Users or suspend or terminate their Account if it believes, in its sole and absolute discretion, that Users have infringed, breached, violated, abused, or unethically manipulated these Terms of Use or acted unethically.
- Notwithstanding the above, these Terms of Use will survive indefinitely unless terminated by handover.
- Upon termination, handover has the right to retain all information pertaining to Users’ transactions initiated on the Platform.
- Governing Law:
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without reference to conflict of laws principles. Disputes arising in relation to these Terms of Use shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts, tribunals, or applicable authorities in Delhi.
- Report Abuse:
Users can report any abuse, violation of these Terms of Use, or objectionable content on the Platform by contacting support@handover.in. For any queries regarding these Terms of Use or the handover Services, Users can also contact support@handover.in.
- Communications:
Users expressly agree to receive communications by way of SMS, emails, or Whatsapp from handover or other third parties. Users can unsubscribe or opt-out from receiving communications through specific channels or by contacting customer support. However, Users may still receive communications related to their use of the handover Service.
- General:
- Amendments: handover reserves the right to modify or amend these Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Policies without notifying Users. It is the User’s responsibility to periodically check for changes. Users’ acceptance of the amended Terms of Use or continued use of the Platform signifies their consent and agreement to be bound by the changes.
- Notice: All notices from handover will be served via email to the User’s registered email address or through general notification on the Platform.
- Assignment: Users cannot assign or transfer the Terms of Use or any rights granted hereunder to any third party. handover may freely transfer its rights under the Terms of Use without informing or seeking consent from Users.
- Severability: If any provision of the Terms of Use is found to be unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remainder of the Terms of Use shall continue in full force and effect.
- Waiver: handover’s failure to enforce or exercise any provision of the Terms of Use or any related right shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or right.
- Integration: These Terms of Use, together with handover’s Privacy Policy, Policies, legal notices, and communications published on the Platform, as well as any other agreements executed between Users and handover, constitute the entire agreement governing the use of the Platform and handover Services, superseding any prior agreements between Users and handover.
